HPF seminar

After the advanced course held last year, the 3rd HPF seminar was held in the national institute for fusion science on December 15, 2004. About 30 persons participated in this seminar and H. Sakagami, H. Iwashita, Y. Hayashi and H. Murai of HPFPC acted as speakers.

In this sminar, we talked on the real problems raised in the practical use of HPF and the solutions to them and the evaluation of the SPEC OMP benchmark using HPF, and reported the investigation of the trend of the parallel programming model in US. In addition, the fhpf compiler developed by Fujitsu, Ltd. is distributed for free to the HPFPC member. We beleive that fhpf will make the availability of HPF higher.
